Original architectural details have been beautifully preserved and restored—grand central staircase, coffered ceilings, intricate hardwood floors w/inlays, back staircase and five elegant marble fireplaces.
The library offers built-ins with storage, pocket doors, marble fireplace & crown molding. This versatile space can be used as a private sanctuary or for a large gathering by offering open access to both the formal dining room & expansive side porch.

The dining room with a rare black marble fireplace invites slow meals, long conversations, and deliberate living. It’s a space designed not just for eating, but for gathering — for lingering. The tall ceilings and abundant natural light give it a sense of openness and grace, while the rich wall color wraps the space in warmth, making it feel grounded and welcoming. It’s the kind of room that softens voices and lengthens evenings.

Second Floor Landing

At the top of the stairs, a quiet landing opens up like a secret corner of the house. A long window seat stretches beneath glowing stained glass, perfect for reading, daydreaming, or simply watching the world from above. Sunlight pours in, dancing across the polished floors and warming the soft yellow walls. It's more than a landing — it was a place to pause.

Bedrooms-Bathrooms

Two additional bedrooms and a full bath complete the second level. They are a perfect space for a bedroom, guest room, office or even a cozy reading retreat. The proportions are generous without feeling cavernous, and the natural light from the multiple windows keeps the rooms bright and cheerful. The large full bathroom offers newer tiled floors, a corner shower stall & a single vanity sink.

Primary Suite

On the upper level, we have a pair of unique, oversized bedrooms that are just bursting with potential. Each one has charming dormer windows and sloped ceilings that give the rooms a cozy, storybook feel — perfect for kids, guests, or even a creative studio space.

These rooms feel peaceful, private, and full of personality, with natural light streaming through multiple windows all day long.

And tucked right between the bedrooms, you’ll find a full bathroom that’s been tastefully updated. It has a tiled shower with center tile inlay and a large window that fills the space with soft light. It’s charming, functional, and ready for morning routines or evening wind-downs.

Whether you need extra bedrooms, a guest suite, a music room — or just space to breathe and be creative — this floor delivers.

About Easton

Whether you are a resident or a visitor, we trust that you will find these pages to be useful and informative. For residents, we hope that you will find the information needed for you to attend meetings, get involved in a committee, pay a bill or download a form or information on any of our many municipal services. For visitors, we thank you for coming to our city and invite you to visit its rich colonial history, special events, and its bright and colorful future. We encourage both residents and visitors to check back often as this website will change often as we add information regularly.

Easton is a full-service city that constantly strives to provide the most effective and efficient municipal services to both our residents and visitors. From a dedicated, full-time professional fire department, to a fully accredited police department, we work hard to provide our residents and visitors with a "Clean and Safe" environment.

In addition to our historic downtown district, we are equally proud of our diverse and architecturally rich neighborhoods.

Enjoy a walking tour of our historic sites, a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride through our historic district, or a pleasant mule-drawn canal boat ride along Hugh Moore Historic Park. For real excitement, bring your children to The Crayola Experience and our National Canal Museum. Easton is also home to Lafayette College, one of the finest institutions of higher learning in America and one that is in the top 10 schools in the country for a four-year graduation rate. Downtown Easton also offers a diverse array of shopping and dining opportunities, from casual to formal. And yes, we are the home of Larry Holmes, the Hall of Fame boxer who held the Heavyweight Boxing Title for more than seven and a half years. A bronze statue honoring Mr. Holmes, a.k.a the "Easton Assassin," overlooks the scenic Forks of the Delaware, where the Lehigh River cascades into the mighty Delaware River on its trip to the Delaware Bay.

The County Seat for Northampton County, Easton is located within an hour of New York City, Philadelphia, and the Pocono Mountains.

Come and enjoy our sites, our attractions, and most of all, our residents.

Parks & Trails

There are two kinds of parks in the City of Easton: active and passive. Our parks range in size from pocket parks (the size of a single building lot) to dozens of acres.

Active parks are parks that have an established piece of equipment, court, or field in which to play or recreate. These are designed for families to play and enjoy the outdoors. Many of our active parks include ball fields, basketball courts, and large play structures designed for children under 12.

Passive parks are parks that provide a bench or seating on which you can relax. There are no set pieces of equipment for play. Some passive parks provide a city view and seats to enjoy it. Many of our passive parks include statues or memorabilia dedicated to periods in the city's history.

Community Highlights

1. Where Rivers Meet—and History, Too
Easton sits dramatically at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, a location that shaped its identity as a colonial-era crossroads and transport hub.

2. Pages of the Past
This city is basically a living history book. One of the first places where the Declaration of Independence was read aloud—just four days after it was signed. Also, Lafayette College, the National Canal Museum, Crayola Experience—all co-stars in Easton’s historical and creative saga.

3. Festivals That Make Nostalgia Look Hip
Easton could’ve put ghosts of Wagner’s fantasies to shame with its festivals. Think Easton Heritage Day, Garlic Fest, BaconFest (yes, bacon), Riverside Festival of the Arts, and the Winter Village over Centre Square.

Also, Easton Farmers’ Market—a Saturday tradition since the dawn of time (or at least one of the oldest in the country).

4. Downtown That Actually Feels Like a Downtown
Cobblestone streets, cafes around every corner, historic architecture with a flair for the artsy. Shops, restaurants, galleries—all within walking distance, a walker’s dream (and yours, apparently).
5. A Community That Actually Stands for Something
Easton recently made headlines for officially declaring itself an “affirming city” for the LGBTQ+ community. Big warm fuzzy inclusive vibes there.
