Hellertown Borough

The mission of the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber is to advance the commercial, civic and general interest of the Saucon Valley area and to promote business opportunities for owners and employees through an exchange of experiences and ideas.

The Authority’s office building was deeded to HBA by the Borough in 1964 and renovated. The building is an old farmhouse built in 1832 and previously owned by five generations of the Rentzheimer family, one of the first German settlers in the area. When the building was renovated, efforts were made to preserve the original materials and designs, including wide hardwood plank floors with hand-cut nails, hand-wrought German door handles, the basement spring and an adjacent smokehouse. The building is registered as a historical building with the Hellertown Historical Society.

The Hellertown Historical Society (HHS) is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Hellertown and its people. In 1984, the Society was granted a 99 year lease from the Borough of Hellertown to occupy, restore, and maintain a major portion of Hellertown’s historical 35 acre Heller-Wagner Grist Mill tract and its buildings.
